Hey guys sorry to bother you all I just have one question about the GPA calculations. I created a hypothetical situation in which I calculated my GPA for the final 3 years of my degree. In the final -2 yr i got 4 passes and 3 credits. In the final -1 year i got 2 passes and 4 credits and in the final yr i got all credits. I calculated my GPA according to ACER and it comes up as 6.285. Is this really POSSIBLE like i believe it should be much lower and that I have done something wrong.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

yep, I think you've miscalculated.\

Passes and credits won't give you a GPA over 5.5. Perhaps your GPA was 5.285, instead of 6.285....... that would make more sense to me.

yep I think your correct but even 5.285 seems to high i reckon lol. However I carried out the calculations exactly the way they tell you to on the GEMSAS website. I went through the step by step method so I'm really not sure.
Anyways thanks for your input.

Not all fraternities have GPA requirements. That being said, I agree with 33 in that I think you need to really focus on your academics. Your GPA will have a much larger effect on your career prospects then membership in a fraternity.
