in the outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, I live in Warburton and would be happy to offer my house but I am probably too far out, and I am happy to travel in. My partner completed post grad med at Flinders Uni 4 years ago and hired a tutor to go through all the science components of the tests with him explaining in detail. I have lots of past tests and notes from a study course he signed up for. A small group of people who need science tuition and tutor experienced in both the science areas would be ideal. Although I know alot about anatomy and physiology I need a start from scratch approach to physics and biochemistry.

Hi Nicky,

I am a 45 year old IT professional looking for a change in career and am currently studying for the Gamsat in March 2012 or 2013 depending on how much I can re-learn - I haven't studied physics or chem for some time:-) I too, am looking for a Melbourne study group which meets after hours preferrably at Monash Clayton, or in the City - State Library for example. The past papers I have so far are from 2007 but will be purchasing others shortly,

Cheers,

Paul

Hi Paulie,
I'm sorry things got too busy at the end of last year for me to visit this site again. Have also made contact with Nora, 38 yr old nurse who is looking for a study group in the South East. I would prefer not to travel into the city as it takes too much time and I live 1 1/2 hrs from town. However a group tutor can be easily employed from the state library. I'm not sure where Nora lives, perhaps half way between Calyton and Croydon, will keep you posted if you are interested,
Warm regards Nikki

Hi Nikki and Paulie

For my science revision I wen't back to year 12 as a mature aged student to study physics and chemistry. I found it was a great way to refresh from the basics, it was free and it laid the ground work for me to hit the uni level books in preparation (the level of science needed is actually really low, the questions just look scary).

The rest of my time and energy was spent developing my reasoning and problem solving skills (I used the MENSA puzzle solving books, cross words, old high school maths exams, anything that required me to think, reason, extrapolate and interpolate information). It worked really well for me.

Best of luck to you both.
