Hi there. Just read your reply to my post about forming a study group in adelaide for gamsat 2012. Ive so far bought the booklets off the acer website. im thinking of buying Medprep because I heard its good for theory and reorienting your science knowledge. About Guru Method, I heard its to the point and is useful if you have a short amount of time and already have a good knowledge base. If you want further analysis of gamsat materials, then go on review of gamsat materials and theres a post by me called "which gamsat materials are worth buying" and people have posted their opinions on all the materials out there.
So you are living in Adelaide? Are you interested to meet up a few times a week for gamsat study? Do you know anyone else that would be interested to join us? I am currently studying pharmacy (bachelor degree). How about you? |

the books are in mint condition and unmarked if you want to email me |

Hi all! Firstly I have to declare my conflict of interest, I run a small company that offers a live course in reasoning for GAMSAT in Adelaide; secondly, this post is not trying to shamelessly plug it
I've posted a list of the text book materials I used for my preparation in 2005 on my blog. It took me about 3 weeks of full time prep to get through it and I got 66 on my first attempt (I finished med at Flinders in 2010) It's 5 or so main books (and 12 or so ancillary books) that can probably be bought for about $300 from any major online retailer or is likely available for (nearly) free from any uni library (I "borrowed" mine from my flatmate at the time and if you're reading Shaheen, you can have them back whenever you'd like
Check it out if you're keen and FYI you won't be induced to buy/pay for anything. The blog is maintained as a community service and to help generate interest in our business' website.

Good luck for 2012! |

Hi Jogoganne, hope prep is going well and that you're having some success putting together a study group. I'd love to help you but my med school study days are done and dusted (unless you want to help me prepare for my ED primaries
I found when I was going through the process that, rightly or wrongly, a lot of candidates are a bit secreteive and competetive (after all you're vying for the same places and not everyone takes a 'may the best man/woman win' approach). But don't let that deter you, there are also some awesome candidates who will support you through thick and thin!
Good luck with the study group and for 2013/14. Remember heads down, bum up! |

Is the format slightly different for the online version, or have I just not worked out how to navigate it properly yet? |
