|
|
Hi Everyone.
I was wanting to start a Gamsat study group in melbourne for those people who want to sit the Gamsat in 2011. I am from a science background and have a bit of revision material for the Gamsat.
Please let me know, doesnt matter where in melbourne you are from as we can chose a a place in the middle to meet up so everyone is happy.
Ive been told by many people that have succeeded into Med that studying in a group for the Gamsat works best as those who know topics teach those who dont meaning their is a constant level of revision and learning going on.
cheers everyone lets get cracking.

Hi there Nat.
I was getting worried noone was going to want to be part of a study group. Please let me know if you know of any place we can meet up to discuss a point of attack to this study. I am also opened to maybe waiting a little longer to see if we can get more people to join the study group.

Hi there nat and aydin
I was hoping to sit the gamsat for the first time in 2011. Will it be possible if I can join your study group? It is such a challenging task to study for it on your own. Hope to meet you guys soon
Kind Regards

Hi Nat, aydin and court,
My name is Scott and I've been a GAMSAT tutor for the past 3 years.
Without getting to deep into anything here's a bit about me:
Qualifications:
- BBiomed Sci (University of Melbourne)
- Grad Dip Sci (Hons) (University of Melbourne)
- PhD Chemistry (current) University of Melbourne
Experience:
- I am a current tutor for Biochemistry/Chemistry at the University of Melbourne (since 2005)
- I have taught Biology, Chemistry and Physics at the GAMSAT level since 2007
- I am a current demonstrator for Chemistry at the University of Melbourne
- I am a current exam marker for Chemistry at the University of Melbourne
I had 6 GAMSAT students last year, all of which got high enough scores to safely say they'll get their #1 or #2 pick of Universities for Med. One did particularly well, scoring in the top 2 percent in the Science section. I have written references from them if required.
For group sessions I could work out something affordable for you all.
Please feel free to contact me: 0407056493
Happy Studying!!! |

I think it might be time we started to attack the study as a group. Those who want to join later on can. so therfore im open to areas we can meet and times. Im coming from Geelong so melbourne City or western suburbs is right for me. I was even thinking central to everyone would be the state library near RMIT uni in the city. If any of you guys know of a better place im more than happy to travel.
cheers

I have been studying for the past 2 months, I have a pretty intense study schedule, but I would love to meet with a group as some of the topics are difficult to learn alone. I have a background in Biochem. |

Hi All,
I'm interested in joining your study group. I'm currently studying Physiotherapy and also have an Education degree. I've the MedPrep materials for physics, chem, organic chem, biology and most previous preperation tests. From Williamstown area and am pretty flexible with times and location.
Any ideas on when you plan to start or how often?
Regards,
Dan |
