Hi,

I am hoping to sit GAMSAT next September. I have Biology and Chemistry A levels but my maths is a bit weak. Will a GCSE course help prepare me or is this not a high enough level?

Any pointers appreciated!

Many thanks

A GCSE course will be helpful especially since calculators are no longer permitted for the GAMSAT. Be sure that your prep includes exponents and logs because they constantly appear in the real exam (for both physics and general chemistry).

Thanks very much-didn't want to embark on something unless it was going to really help as the physics section is so small compared to the other two.

Thank you!

It will also help for general chemistry. When calculators were banned for the first time this year, many people thought that there would be less calculations - that was not true! Being quick and efficient with basic high school math is good GAMSAT prep.
