Hi Simran.

Good on you for joining the forum, and good luck.

The main thing I want to say, is that whether you will be able to 'handle GAMSAT' really only comes down to you.

No one here can tell you that you can, or can't...... and even if we could, I think that its important that you believe in yourself.

Do you think you can handle GAMSAT?

I know I was very nervous about sitting my first GAMSAT this year, and it took a lot of deep soul searching to decide whether I was prepared to risk failing in order to have a chance at success.

"If you risk nothing, you risk everything"

I keep saying this to myself, and I worked as hard as I could in preparation. I only studied for 10 weeks, but, even now, before the results are out, I've already started getting my resources together to hit it again in 2009 if required Wink

Come mid May, if my marks are poor, then I will see it as a lesson in preparation, and a sign that I need to work much harder. I refuse to see an unsucessful mark as a failure..... but rather as a lesson, or step on the path of success.

I did an Arts degree, majoring in Management back in 1998, so I'm a long long way out of university..... and while I accept that my marks in GAMSAT could be anything from great to poor, I didn't feel out of place at the testing day, and I didn't feel overwhelmed or out of my depth. I'm not coming in with a gargantuan GPA like many here spout about..... but that just my reality.... do you meet the minimum GPA hurdle for the university of your choice?

I think the key is preparing hard. Make sure that when you sit down in 10 months time, that you are as ready as you can be, and that you can't make ANY EXCUSES for your marks... Its tempting to underprepare so that you can brush off a bad result..... a LOT of people do this.

Study study study my friend, and get involved in the forum. These guys and girls are great at helping keep you excited about the possibilities.
