I think that there is a fee when you submit all your forms to acer??!! But it is less than $200 i think. This is my first year to apply also - and with a 57 I hope it is enough!!!

You may as well give it a shot - or do you want to wait another year cause you have other plans? I will definitely be applying - even if I only get my second preference - which will be interstate Confused

Well I was really using this year as a practice run and didn't EXPECT to actually pass it. I really did want to go to UQ as it is so close to me, so part of me just wants to maybe have another crack at it and see if I could get into UQ. But the thought of going through this whole process again puts a huge weight on my shoulders....

The other part of me just wants to start SO BADLY!!! I'm am SO keen!! I have made up my mind to do this and I am ready for the life change (I've been working out of uni for 4 years)

Next year in early May I am getting married and I am also mindful of this for either gamsat or being in med school. It will be busy either way!

Big decisions! I can see your point! Best of congrats for the wedding - that is awesome. What does your fiance want? Maybe best consult with her and see what fits best! You can always apply next year if this year is not the best with all the hectic plans. Or you could go for an interview as a practice run?

Someone told me it was like $60 or thereabouts. I don't remember who told me this, though, so as always - take it with a pinch of salt.

quick question......I got a 66 and am applying to UQ. However, I was planning on taking next year off to travel/have a life before the hard slog of med. I am still going through this years' application process and ill have the interview as a practice run but will just reject the final offer. Does anyone know if universities frown upon taking this approach? (obviously I won't state my plans in the interview). do they even take notice of who's sat interviews in previous years?

Kate,
That sounds like a waste of time really, especially when there are people who desperately want a place starting next year. I dont think unis will remember from year to year who has the interviews, and there is no limit on the number of years you can attend interview. If you want interview practice you could try one of the preparatory interview courses that are run just before the interviews are held. Also, if you search the net there are heaps of people who have written about their interview experiences and they are really informative. Generally I believe that it all comes down to your own personal style and although practice will help, you will do well or do poorly because of who you are, not how much practice you had. Anyhow, well done for your 66 Smile

Kate I totally agree with drjv, dont waste your time if you have no intention of starting studies next year. Besides your gamsat score is valid for 2 years anyway.
